As a UP student, she took part in various organizations, student publications and formations that cater to socio-civic activities, women empowerment and socio-political and economic awareness. She started her career as a pioneer in self-regulatory body in television broadcasting network with campaign for child protection and responsible media contents in mass communication. Then, she also worked in government posts focused at international and domestic humanitarian law, coastal and marine protection, and environment conservation.
In 2015, she joined a Telecommunications company as Contracts Manager, while studying law in the evening. Her fields of expertise in information technology are intellectual property, governance, service delivery, information security, data privacy, and risk management. A year later, she pioneered the Data Privacy Office of the same company.
In 2017, she joined a European-based business process outsourcing company, which enhanced her knowledge in global standards in data protection. A year later, she joined a local digitally transformed bank as its Data Protection Officer. She now heads its Artificial Intelligence and Data Policy, a nascent field in the Philippines where she blazes new trails for the others to follow.
