About this Speaker

Steve has over 15 years of information security knowledge underpinned with technical experience. This includes threat hunting, malware assessments, risk assessments, incident response, crisis management, and maturity assessments. Steve has performed a variety of technical security functions working within both the private and public sector. At Accenture, Steve is the European and Latin America lead for the FusionX Cyber Investigation and Forensics Response (CIFR) team. He is responsible for working and coordinating with local practices to support the regional client base. He also operates as the co-lead for the Cyber Defense team and services in the UKI. Steve’s multi-faceted professional experiences have well-suited him to bridge the gap for technical and non-technical clients alike. Steve was the technical lead and engagement manager of the cyber incident response team within two of the ‘Big-4’ UK cyber consulting practices. In this role, he conducted forensic, malware, and intrusion analysis to assist clients in a variety of cyber incidents, including targeted attacks, client breaches, and incident engagements. In addition, he provided strategic consulting services for clients in healthcare, media, financial services, oil & gas, and retail industries. Prior, Steve was the operations manager for a security operation center, focusing on the external client’s managed security services, including security and compliance monitoring, cyber threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and managed data loss prevention. To successfully execute this role, Steve drew upon his previous experience from 24 years in the military and industry protecting networks from sophisticated nation-state actors.
